For thousands of years...ok more like a hundred, movies have entertained the likes of us civilized, imagery seeking, patrons of the cushy chair. Some movies have left personal, and an emotional level of character defining, shaping who we are. Some have left us disturbed, broken, beaten, or simply "I just took out a small loan to take my family to see this crap." The fact of the matter is that for over a hundred years the published, questioningly paid critic has been our medium, or voice into helping us decide on whether or not we should see, or avoid the movie. Let's see a show of hands just how many times that critic, after your personal viewing was dead wrong. I am putting my hand down now to finish my statement. Here, we as paying customers will take, list, and compare movies of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. All formats are excepted, silent, 8mm, beta(what's that), vhs, dvd, and the screen. I have discovered that some of the best films never even make it to the "big screen", while some we question who in the hell thought that would be a good idea. All genres will be covered and torn apart. No movie is safe. From the big multi-million dollar blockbuster to the very independent, and foreign films. The goal is to give your true personal feelings of a movie you love, and hopefully let another fall in love as you did. In other words we paid for it, we will tell whether it was good or not. For the first blog I will list several movies some older, some new, and some future, and within this community give a better understanding, then the paid critic. Paid by the newspaper, or magazine that is more then likely owned by studios.
